This Cookie Policy explains how Fortus Technologies, Inc. (“Fortus”, “we” or “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on fortuslogic.com, and how you can control them. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device through your web browser. They allow a site to remember information about your visit, such as your preferences, and help site owners understand how the site is used. Similar technologies, such as browser local or session storage, work in a comparable way.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other services, such as an analytics provider or an embedded video player, are called third-party cookies.
How we use cookies
We keep our use of cookies to a minimum. This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The categories we use are described below.
Strictly necessary
These are required for the website to work and to keep it secure. Our hosting provider may use technical cookies to deliver pages reliably. WordPress sets login cookies only for Fortus staff who sign in to manage the website; ordinary visitors do not receive them. Strictly necessary cookies cannot be switched off in our systems, but you can block them in your browser, which may affect how parts of the site work.
Functional storage
Our Design Guide uses your browser’s session storage to remember which manufacturing processes you have selected to compare. This information stays on your device, is not sent to us and is cleared automatically when you close the browser tab.
Analytics
Where enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use our website, such as which pages are visited and for how long. This information is collected in aggregate and helps us improve the site. Google Analytics sets first-party cookies and processes data on our behalf. You can learn more in Google’s explanation of how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Embedded video
Our home page includes a video hosted by Vimeo. To protect your privacy, the Vimeo player is not loaded until you click play. Once you play the video, Vimeo may set its own cookies, which are governed by the Vimeo Cookie Policy.

Managing cookies
Most web browsers let you view, block and delete cookies through their settings. You can usually choose to block all cookies, block only third-party cookies, or delete cookies when you close your browser. Blocking analytics or video cookies does not prevent you from using this website.
To opt out of Google Analytics across all websites, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change the technologies we use or when the law requires it. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
