Situation:
A well respected, 40-year-old manufacturer of specialized alloy powder metal components wanted to establish an operation in China. The company sought to support its current customers that have established operations in China and to develop new relationships with other Chinese companies.
Actions:
Fortus Technologies, Inc. researched and identified potential suppliers of equipment for the new plant, performed preliminary screening and assisted in the final selection and purchasing negotiations for the equipment. In conjunction with the clients US-based sales team, we identified North American companies with the established operations in China and other strategic customers in that country with similar requirements.
Results:
First-year production was sold out nine months before the facility was scheduled to begin operations.
